Development of lower limb prophylaxis device.
The main goal of this project is to create a mechanical system that would help in prevention of medical conditions that would occur if there is a lack of movement of lower limbs. Life threatening conditions like DVT occur in patients who are paralyzed, are in coma etc. We hypothesize that the the system with its systematically timed mechanical actions will help in prevention of these conditions. This project is being done under the guidance of Prof. Madhav Rao (IIIT Bangalore) and Dr. Vikas Vazhayil (National Institute of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences).
